А справка с учёбы? В чеклисте её нет, но тут советовали каждое слово лучше бумажкой подтвердить, так как быть? И справка с моей работы-подработки (если платят мои родители) мне вообще нужна? В апликейшне нужно указывать последнее место работы, там я его указала, хотя, конечно, убрать ещё не поздно.

И если эти справки нужны, то, опять же, их всех в Letter of explanation?

Dear Sir or Madam,

 

My name is XXXXXX. I am writing this letter to explain why I have chosen to study in Red River College, Winnipeg, Manitoba, as well as to give answer to some questions that might arise when you will be processing my application.

I am a chemist currently working on the position of Senior Engineer in XXXXXXX, one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies on the Ukrainian market. The department I work in is called Research and Development Department. In brief, its activity is connected to creating new medicines with emphasize on their availability, efficacy and, of course, safety.

My duties include writing analytical procedures, carrying out their validation on laboratory equipment, preparing protocols of analysis, performing stability studies and compiling them into stability tables. In short, my work is to assess and control the quality of new medicines from analytical point of view.

As developing medicines is a sophisticated process, sometimes deviations and unacceptable results may occur. To solve the described issues, some certain measures should be applied. They may include troubleshooting, identification and analysis of unexpected results, implementing corrective and preventing actions. The way these problems/deviations are solved is particular area of my professional interests. It is quite interesting and challenging process as you always should have in mind different approaches and types of possible solutions.

Now, having more than 8 years of experience working in an analytical laboratory, I feel well prepared to further deepen and refine my expertise through learning more on how the quality per se is assessed, committed and applied.

While searching for a suitable program for me and doing some analysis I came into conclusion that Red River College will be my best option. Firstly, Canada is well known for its prominent educational system. By contrast with Canada Ukraine cannot make boast of this fact. Secondly, education fees in Canada are lower compared to those in other English-speaking countries. Eventually, Canada is one of the top countries that make their impact into pharmaceutical development while Ukraine has recently started to implement world’s best practices.

Applying for QA/QC in the Pharmaceutical Industry program that is taught at Red River College will help me to see the process from within as Red River College provides excellent facilities and state-of-the-art equipment to put theory into practice. This is exactly the kind of learning I wish to receive because I believe gaining knowledge has no use if it is not applied in practice.

These days Ukraine has high ambitions to sell its medicines not only on the local market. As a result, there are a lot of tablets, syrups and different kinds of solutions that were manufactured in Ukraine and are being sold on European, American and Asian markets. In order to comply with the requirements of quality and safety, Ukrainian pharmaceutical companies try to follow different regulatory documents.

I can state with confidence that the Canadian degree opens doors for me in Ukraine because quality assurance and quality control experts are of high demand here. Persons who gain diploma in QA/QC field are welcomed to work in Ukrainian Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulated laboratories or GMP regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing companies. Research institutions, quality control laboratories, pharmaceutical companies would view me as a valuable potential member of their personnel (for instance, as an auditing inspector).

It should be mentioned that I am married and it goes without saying that I would like to have my wife Oksana accompany me during my study in Canada. I am convinced that her stay in Canada will be a great opportunity for her to live in English-speaking environment and get acquainted with the Canadian life style and culture, explore local customs and manners.

This experience will be very helpful because not only will it improve her knowledge of English, but also improve her ability to cooperate and communicate effectively which will help her in her personal and career growth when she returns to Ukraine. It is a known fact that nowadays employers prefer to hire people who have worked or studied abroad and gained valuable life skills – and of course, recognized qualifications and experience. That is why we both are confident that our experience in Canada will certainly help boost our employability and increase our career prospects in Ukraine.

I would like to inform you that yet in 2011 I and my fiancé XXXXXX (now my wife) decided to keep all our money in one deposit account which was opened for my wife’s name. That is why my wife will actually act as our family sponsor during our stay in Canada (letter of financial support enclosed). Also, we have $5200 of our savings which we keep at home because of unstable situation with the dollar in our country and in order to have money available just to be safe.

According to the enclosed bank statements about availability of the funds in our bank accounts as well as salary certificates from our employers we confirm our financial ability to finance my study and cover all costs within the period of our family stay in Canada and pay all costs related to flight to and travel in Canada (listed as transportation cost).

Я не могу, к сожалению, отредактировать все письмо, но некоторые моменты бросаются в глаза:

 

Мне кажется слишком много ненужной информации в вашем письме (например о фармацевтической промышленности) - сократите его.

 

Не пишите негативно об Украине - вообще опускайте все негативные моменты.

Укажу на то что мне бросилось в глаза.

Я бы перевел должность немного скромнее и сократил описание то чем Вы занимаетесь, а то мне показалось что Вас ни чему не научат в колледже.

Цифру восемь лет опустил бы тоже, по поводу ваших денег в "чулке" может их положить двумя - тремя частями на счет и исключить это объяснение по этой "несерьезной сумме". Немного бы ужал весь текст, что бы читающий его, не остановился на половине, а дочитал до конца.

 

Как Вам ранее уже посоветовали - уберите негатив. И в будущем, никогда не отзывайтесь плохо о своих бывших работодателях, или как в данном случае о стране. Это считается дурным тоном.

мангуст, спасибо за советы! Информацию касательно стажа работы уберу. Касательно денег - мы тоже думали положить их на $ счет и просто взять справку в банке о том,что они там есть, без движений.

 

Что касается негатива об Украине, извините, но можете мне указать, где именно Вы его увидели? Если это касается фразы "Firstly, Canada is well known for its prominent educational system. By contrast with Canada Ukraine cannot make boast of this fact.", то я не считал это негативом,просто хотел подчеркнуть, что в Канаде высшее образование более качественное. Впрочем, поменять эту фразу не проблема. Если же Вы имели ввиду другую фразу, пожалуйста, укажите какую именно.

А вообще, у меня даже в мыслях не было писать негатив о стране или о работодателе. Еще раз благодарю за советы!

Alex, честно говоря, думал, что речь идет об одном и том же письме. Тема так и называется "сопроводительное письмо".

Значит будем сокращать и делать из него мотивационное.

Уважаемые форумчане, прошу вашего совета. Помогите пожалуйста выстроить логику подачи аппликейшн на Study Permit и оцените набросок для кавер леттера

О себе:

22года (в мае будет 23), не замужем, детей нет.

Образование: Университет закончила в 2013г. Специалитет, факультет Лингвистики и перевода, специальность «Теория и практика межкультурной коммуникации». Красный диплом.

Сразу после выпуска нашла работу в IT компании – разработка и публикация игр в соц.сетях. Менеджер по работе с партнерами (в том числе и с иностранными). Я работаю там с июля 2013, но официально устроили меня только с 1 апреля 2014. (т.е. с июль 2013 по апрель 2014 по документам я как бы безработная).

Зачислена в Universite de Saint Boniface (Winnipeg,MA) на 2годичную программу Diploma «Administration des affaires» (Business Administration). Обучение проходит на французском. В конце обучения есть что-то похожее на ко-оп или стажировку (так и не поняла из объяснений университета).

Знание языков: английский – advanced (надеюсь, что диплом Лингвистики это достаточное доказательство знания языка). Французский – DELF 77баллов из 100 (приложу скан сертификата)

Travel history: 2 раза виза в США (Work&Travel), Таиланд, Турция, Египет. Везде все в порядке, возвращалась в срок и без проблем.

Спонсорами выступают родители. В качестве proof of finance прикладываем справку с мест работы родителей.

 

Что касается образования (смена специальности) хотела написать в кавере примерно так (набросок):

«У меня есть degree по специальности лингвистика (диплом прилагаю). Поработав репетитором некоторое время (фриланс, поэтому не указано в документах), я поняла, что т.к. на это есть спрос в моей городе, лучше всего открыть свой бизнес – языковую школу. Однако мне не хватает знаний в бизнес сфере – hr, management, marketing etc, которые помогут сделать мою будущую компанию успешной. Поэтому я решила продолжить образование в сфере Business Administration. В России двухгодичные программы – это в основном MBA, предназначенные для Bachelor of BA. При этом обучение будет вестись на русском языке, т.е. знание языков приобретенное в университете будет утрачено. Именно поэтому я решила выбрать программу обучения зарубежом. Я выбрала именно Канаду, т.к. это двуязычная страна в которой практикуются именно те языки, которые я изучала в университете и по которым у меня диплом и я смогу сохранить и улучшить свой языковой level, и одновременно получить навыки бизнес администрейшн необходимые для того чтобы создать и привести свою компанию к успеху.»

 

Вот пока для меня все выглядит достаточно логично. Но это только та часть которая касается смены специальности. У меня уже настолько замылился взгляд, что я не знаю, достаточно ли такое объяснение про образование или нет. Буду очень очень благодарна всем (особенно старожилам форума и тем кто уже получил визы и писал кавер) за исправление ошибок.

Having not possessed the knowledge of business essentials – Economics, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources Management, etc. I decided to apply for a Business Administration study program. As far as I already have one degree and I did not want to spend too much time on studying, the 2 year diploma program with some practical knowledge implied seemed a good choice. I also chose to pursue my further studies overseas, because the 2-year programs offered in Russian educational institutions are mostly MBA programs where only Bachelors of Business or related degree are admissible, so I would not be able to apply.

Moreover, I want to continue my language practice of both English and French (as far as those were two languages I have studied in the university). Considering all mentioned above, Canada being a bilingual anglo and francophone country is a perfect place for me to get a 2 year diploma. After completing “Administration des affaires” program in Université de Saint Boniface (Winnipeg, MA) which I found the most suitable for me, I will obtain the necessary business management knowledge which will help me to set up a successful company in my hometown and at the same time I will maintain and deepen my knowledge of both English and French. Even if my language school business would not satisfy my expectations advanced knowledge of two languages and business management will definitely highly increase my value as an employee in Russia and enlarge the various possibilities for employment.

 

Мне не очень нравится подчеркнутая фраза. Сделать рекомендательные письма от учеников - не проблема, но имеют ли они какую нибудь ценность? Ведь напечатать можно что угодно и попросить расписаться под этим абсолютно левых людей. Как еще доказать период фриланса, я не знаю(

И последнее предложение тоже какое то неуклюжее получилось.

Плюс будет еще часть про финансы. Надеюсь все уместить на лист А4

Немного общий вопрос - читала в паре тем, что некоторые пишут сопроводительное / мотивационное письмо и от сопровождающего супруга/супруги. Нужно ли это в реальности, как думаете? Или достаточно только мотивационного письма от главного заявителя?
