Представители IRCC сказали, что их внутренний стандарт - 12 месяцев для 80% кейсов. Остальные 20% кейсов - это те, по которым есть вопросы. Министр сказал, что данный стандарт будет выполняться и в дальнейшем. Трудно сказать насколько это реально. Не слышал о таких.

К сожалению об этом ничего не было сказано. Some delay относилось только к сокращению срока резиденства с 4 лет до трех. Логично, чтобы обе нормы вводили одновременно, но посмотрим.

Спрашивали почему именно 50% и как это обосновано (почему не 60% например). Он сказал, что это некая золотая середина, чтобы привлечь студентов с одной стороны и не терять ценность грпжданства с другой. Вроде возражений особо не было.

Выборочно посмотрел видео вчера. Министр сказал, что они хотят принять билл as soon as possible. На вопрос когда он вступит в силу после принятия, ответил уклончиво, что пункт сокращения требования пребывания будет введен with some delay чтобы подготовиться. Хотят еще заслушать экспертов. Всего будет 5 заседаний, одно из них (видимо последнее) для рассмотрения законопроекта по пунктам: in relation to Bill C-6, the Committee hold a total of five (5) meetings, including one (1) meeting with the Minister and one (1) meeting for clause-by-clause consideration of the Bill, and that all proposed amendments to Bill C-6 be received by the clerk no later than 5 p.m. on the day 48 hours prior to clause-by-clause consideration of the Bill.

Нет и дело даже не в количестве офицеров IRCC. Семейное спонсорство регулируется IRPA (Immigration and Refugee Protection Act), это совсем другой закон. Билл С-6 вносит изменения в закон о гражданстве (Citizenship Act).

К сожалению пока не готов ответить т.к. не знаю о чем говорили. Надеюсь, что второе будет последним.

Russia's 2013 annexation of Crimea and the fighting with pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine has not so far led to a large exodus from the country, EU officials note. То есть вы должны поддерживать свой PR статус. As a result, a number of consequential amendments are made: ◾Clause 1(8) repeals the requirement for applicants to have a continuous intention to reside in Canada from the time of application (section 5(1.1)). ◾Clauses 1(11) and 1(12) repeal sections of the Citizenship Act that provided a waiver for the intention to reside requirement for minors (section 5(3)((iii)) and for individuals who were incapable of forming an intent (section 5(3)(b.1)). ◾Clause 7 removes the criterion of “intention to reside” from the requirements for resumption of citizenship in section 11 of the Citizenship Act.

Квалификацию проверяют только у economic immigrants, притом у principal applicants. Это примерно 60-80 тыс человек из 300 тыс. Здесь вы наверное правы, но с другой стороны если бы иммиграцию существенно прикрыли, то нас бы тут не было. Cпорное утверждение. Иммигранты это далеко не только skilled workers. А вы видели такую статистику? Кстати беженцы есть далеко не только из Сирии, я встречал из России, Украины и Беларуси.

Прогнозирование тут не причем, привезти 10 тыс. рефюджиз такое же (если не менее) опасное дело, как и каждый год пускать в страну 300+ тыс. иммигрантов. Давайте и иммиграцию отменим? Тоже из разных стран люди едут, проверки те же, а количество на порядок больше. Вы считаете умным автоматически считать человека террористом только потому, что он рефюджи?

Вот будет, тогда и будем говорить. А пока я против развешивания ярлыков. Ни коим образом не оправдываю нападавшего, надеюсь он получит по заслугам. Но этот человек родился в Канаде и ни разу не рефюджи.
