Щоб захопити барикади співвідношення сил повинно бути як мінімум в 2-3 рази більше (це з інструкцій і про рукопашний бій без застосування зброї). Все началось с того что alexouvarov (извините если ошибся) написал что лучше выбирать автоматизацию производста как професию чем програмиста в Канаде и я с этим не соглашаюсь и taking it easy. Не умер а живее всех живых. Как вы думаете на чом игры пишуть а любые эмбедед штуки, а это огромный рынок. Было время Виндовс позакрываль АПИ для С++ так вернули все назад потому что з перформенсом не поспориш. Вакансий очень мало но и конкуренции почти нет, у меня первая работа в Канаде была на С++. Я щас более уверен чем два года назад, в Америке разгребають програмистов и много с Канады едут туда так как там 130-150К можна взять для тех у кого здесь 100К.

Я открыл эту тему чтоби показать что нельза однобоко говорить что IT вымирающая професия и что в автоматизации или робототехнике легче найти работу. Эти мысли витають форумом и неправильно приносять картину рынка труда в Канаде и я думаю это больше заставит людей подумать зделать ресерч чем ответы в стиле "вы опоздали на 5 лет. Золотой век IT прошол". Я имел ввиду что сократили 30 тыс и безработица должна поднятса на 3% а не на 0.3%, что то тут не так в этой статистике. Автоматизация это регулируемая професия и чтобы работать автоматизатором надо быть профешионал инженером (это не очен сложно но требует времени и усилий). Для автоматизации не надо так много людей как для програмирования в основном компании которые делають автоматизацию имеют заготовки и делають много по шаблону а потом только настраивають коефициэнти регуляторов. Я время от времени мониторю открытые позиции по автоматизации в Канаде и их очень мало и уверен что конкуренция больше так как автоматизатор должен хорошо писать и знать особености процессов а они немножко отличаются здесь и там(back home), разные контролерры можно подучить но здесь так же как и в Украине иногда используют ну очен старое оборудование (70-80 годов) и ищуть спецов по нему.

In my opinion they are in demand too but it is harder to find a job for an immigrant because there a lot of colleges which has 1-2 years program and many students look for tester job or IT admin jobs even if they graduated as programmers. I can agree with the statement that there are more (much more) job seekers than in Ukraine or Russia but it is the same hard to find well skilled (or just skilled) person. I have few friends IT admins and they pretty easily found jobs but they have few certification (Cisco etc). Also it is good to have experience in Exchange and Sharepoint management. A bit easier to be tester but as I mentioned there is some competition and usually testers write a lot here and customers prefer fluent speakers, writers and who is experienced with automated test systems (acceptance tests and any script based test systems) According to my experience all testers I know rotating jobs once in couple years and usually found something better every time.

I usually read forum but cannot stand when people say that IT is falling behind but automation is future trend when it is not right because I have experience and current information from both areas. I'm writing in English just because I don't have Cyrillic keyboard (and not going to install any) and it is much faster for me. I have respect for Russian speakers of this forum and sorry for inconvenience. I noticed many post related to complaining about difficulties of finding a job in IT area. I thought that people not related to IT can provide this kind of information but it seems that they are from IT. I did not hear any decent evidence why they think that automation is better or why it is hard to find IT jobs. Comments like “Не нужно пробовать цианид калия, чтобы понять, ядовит ли он. ” or ”массовые, сотнями и тысячами увольнения ИТ-шников и перевод ИТ в Индию ” sound silly for me because they are really silly. Why I think that IT is still good choice for your career : - you don't need to prove you diploma, don't need licensing just your experience - unemployment rate(~2.7 ) is lower than other occupation (~6.9) - starting salary is higher (40K for newly graduated to > 100K for experienced (>10 years)) - growing demand in IT - to became programmer you need 2-3 years of experience (not necessary to study in university but will be benefit for sure) - tales about outsourcing jobs to India are just tales (not all and mostly not all jobs might be outsourced) - it still fairly easy to find job in IT (I just opened list of vacancies in Vancouver and found company where I passed technical and supervisor interview last year in Winnipeg, pretty sure that they would easily have transferred me to Vancouver if I had chosen them) - you can freelance if you don't find job in your city Of course there are some cons: - it is hard to find job if you are new immigrant - it is hard to find job if you have less than 3-5 years of professional experience - not all people can be programmers - professional diseases: eye and back (preventible) Why I think that IT is better than automation: - there are just little jobs on the market for automation and robotics - robotics still young - to find job in automation you need to be Professional Engineer - you must have University education to became good automation engineer - even not all programmers can be automation engineers - demand on automation is not high and not going to be higher - automation is not simple All above related to programmers not to IT administrator and IT managers. I would suggest looking at house prices around a school (higher prices more activities and safer environment) and amount of children in the school (less children more family like community). Level of education depends on teacher but each division has its own education plan, as you are probably aware education level is a bit low in Manitoba and you need to ask teacher about additional material to keep you children up to the "right" level. For me the main factors are a childcare in the school and distance from my house.

Я мав на увазі деякі. А так я маю багато знайомих з східної України і я знаю, що вони розмовляють українською дуже добре так само, як я знаю, що не всі західні українці розмовляють українською. Перепрошую якщо образив хоч одного жителя сходу, за виключенням 25 річних інженерів які заробляють 1000уо і думають що спіймали бога за бороду.

Моя зарплата в Західній Україні буде більше, ніж ваша тут, в Канаді. Золота порада. Вивчайте українську, тут більше людей, які ніколи не були в Україні, і говорять українською краще, ніж "восточенци" в Україні. Може це допоможе вам зрозуміти, що люди в більшості такі ж незалежно, де вони живуть на західній, східній Україні чи в Канаді.

What does АЭС инженером mean? Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Chemical, Nuclear? Почему вы так привязаны к АЭС Например, он может начать draft person без лицензии после того, как получить инженер лицензии, он может стал инженером в любой электростанции (не только АЭС ) или даже совершенно другой области.
