  1. Как будет работать новое приложение от Home Office по биометрике (IDV) >>> The New Home Office Identity Verification App (IDV) application pre-relese insight for Legal Representatives From the Home Office: "The IDV app will work and highlights that it will not change the way your members work. I can confirm that all documents uploaded via the UKVCAS website will be attached to the application on the IDV app. Your members will not need to repeat the upload. The IDV app is quick and easy to use for all age groups/nationalities. Users are guided in easy steps to take photos in the right format to submit to UKVI. We hope that you and your members will encourage eligible applicants to use the IDV app." Immigration advisers or third-party representatives - the UKVCAS Identity Verification app You may have heard that UKVI is changing the way it processes applications in response to COVID-For some customers, this involves reusing biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) that have been recorded in a previous application as part of the process to verify identity, consider applications and/or produce a Biometric Residence Permit (BRP). See Gov.uk for details. To allow biometrics to be reused, UKVI and UKVCAS have worked together to develop a way to submit facial images using a new UKVCAS Identity Verification App (IDV app) The IDV app is quick and easy to use for all age groups/nationalities. Users are guided in easy steps to take photos in the right format to submit to UKVI. What’s changed? The IDV app has been introduced to allow the applicant to take a photo of themselves and their travel documentation to verify their identity and allow UKVI to reuse biometrics. Immigration Lawyers and third-party representatives can continue to upload documents for their clients via the UKVCAS website. If your client has been asked to use the IDV app, they will simply need to take a photo a) of themselves and b) of their travel documentation. All the mandatory and optional documents you have previously uploaded via the UKVCAS website on their behalf will be available and attached to the application. You will not need to repeat the upload. All uploaded documents will be visible on the IDV app and will be submitted by the applicant after they have verified their ID (by providing photos) on the IDV app. Applicants just need to follow the simple instructions on the IDV app to ensure the photos are in the right format for UKVI. However, should you or the applicant choose to upload more documents, you and they will be able to do it from the IDV app itself or from the UKVCAS website. What do you need to do? You just need to ask applicants to log into the IDV app and to take a photo (of their face and of their travel document) and to click ‘submit’ on the IDV app. This then submits their entire application to UKVI Please note. There is also a document upload function for applicants that do not use an immigration adviser or representative. This enables them to upload mandatory and optional documents as well as their photos and to submit them to UKVI."

  4. "Не прошло и пол-года" или "Наканец-то" ! UK BA to re-use biometric enrolled in the previous applications: https://www.gov.uk/ukvcas "If you’ve given your fingerprints before If UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) can reuse the fingerprints you’ve already given, you’ll be emailed with instructions on how to send them an image of your face and your supporting documents. This will mean you do not have to attend a UKVCAS service point appointment to provide biometric information. If you cannot send the information through the instructions given, you’ll be able to book an appointment." И немного более деталей: "Biometric Reuse We are also writing to update you on a revised process for some customers applying in country. As you will be aware, UKVCAS and SSCs have faced significant demand since reopening, alongside a reduction in appointment availability due to coronavirus and public health guidance. Normally, as part of the application process, customers attend an appointment at one of our service points in person to enrol their fingerprints and a facial image (their ‘biometrics’). Whilst we work to increase capacity, and to protect customers and staff by reducing the number of people needing to attend a service point, we will be reusing fingerprint biometrics for some of our customers. Not all customers will be eligible for this process. This will apply to some of our customers with live applications in the system from work, study, family and private life, citizenship and Windrush routes. There will be some customers who will still need to attend a service point in person to enrol their biometrics. This will include all those who last enrolled their biometrics before July 2015 and all children under 18 who have not enrolled their biometrics in the last two years. In family groups where any of the groups fingerprints cannot be reused the family group will all need to attend a biometric enrolment appointment together if applying at a UKVCAS. This process will remain in place for some customers during the phased reopening of our services and to allow us to return to our usual operating model as soon as possible. Customers do not need to do anything. They will be contacted, either by Sopra Steria or UKVI, to advise them of the next steps for their application. In the meantime, their immigration status will not be affected. "

We recently wrote to tell you that UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) is changing the way it processes applications in response to COVID-19. For some customers, this involves reusing biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) that have been recorded in a previous application as part of the process to verify your identity, consider your application and/or produce a Biometric Residence Permit (BRP). To allow biometrics to be reused for some customers, UKVI and UKVCAS (UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services) have worked together to develop a way to submit facial images using a new UKVCAS Identity Verification app (referred to below as IDV app). The IDV app lets you submit application information to UKVI without having to book or attend an appointment with UKVCAS. This new, free to use, way of submitting information to UKVI will involve you taking a photo of yourself and uploading supporting information onto your mobile device. The IDV app is quick and easy to use and works on most Android and iPhones. When will the IDV app be available? Rollout of the IDV app will take place in phases, beginning in August. We will invite eligible customers to use the new IDV app rather than require you to book an appointment at a UKVCAS service point. UKVI have identified that you are eligible to use the IDV app, as UKVI can use biometrics you have previously provided. Please be reassured that your immigration status remains unaffected whilst your application is in progress. What does this mean for me? For most customers, using the IDV app means you will not have to attend an appointment at a UKVCAS Service Point. An invitation will be sent for you to use the new IDV app within the next few weeks, with further details about how to the use IDV app and the next steps. What do I need to do next? If you are happy to use the IDV app, you don’t need to do anything. We will be in touch within the next few weeks to invite you to use the new IDV app. What if I want to book an appointment and not use the IDV app? See Questions and Answers below What if I need an outcome on my application due to compassionate or emergency reasons? Please contact UKVI for further information here. Please note, your immigration status will not be affected in the meantime. If you do not have a passport or a travel document, please contact UKVI for further advice. If you need further information, please see Questions and Answers below. Kind regards, UKVCAS Please note that we will never send an email to ask you to provide payment details. This email address is not monitored. If your question is not answered above, please check our website. Questions and Answers What if I can’t download the IDV app on my phone? If you are unable to use the new IDV app, you will be able to book an appointment at a UKVCAS Service Point. What if I want to book an appointment and not use the IDV app? The key advantage of the IDV app is you don’t have to attend an appointment at a UKVCAS Service Point. If you urgently need a decision about your application, (for example because you need to travel outside of the UK), the option to book an appointment is still available. See next steps below. Note: If you are part of a group, applicants must either ALL use the IDV app or ALL book an appointment. Here are the steps to follow: Send UKVCAS an email from your UKVCAS registered email address to admin.ukvas@soprasteria.com by Friday 7 August. Include the words ‘OPT OUT’ and your 16-digit Unique Application Number(UAN) as the subject line. In the email, state your name (and the names of other applicants in your group if applicable) and that you want to opt out of the IDV app. If you opt out on or up to 7 August 2020, UKVCAS will send you an email during week commencing 10 August 2020 inviting you to book an appointment at a UKVCAS service point.
